Table Tennis Tournament A Big Hit as First Annual Hits the Little Courts --

Brain child of one of our own, the man known only as Zhi not only made the grade with one of the best club events of the year,  but also wins the tournament in typical Zhi fashion. 

Three tables, 20 entrants took to the tables with their game faces on and a take no prisoner attitude for this first of a kind event here at PRC...(for 2012)!

  The tournament took a very serious turn when some of the tournament favorites were eliminated in the first rounds.  Travis Fitch made a run for 4th place with Mr. Fisher making the 3rd place finish his money round.  Mike Deck, Marty Semke, Ron Barron and Gary Sampson stayed in the running but were kept out of a payday with 1st or 2nd round losses.  Mike Carter, finalist in the open division, took Zhi to the wire but was unable to capitalize on his his opponents unorthodox style which continually intimidated most of his opponents during the day. 

Deanna Semke took the ladies division with a 3-0 win over Melissa Slayton with some impressive moves of her own.

It was a great afternoon of fun and club camaraderie as we wound down to the finals which all who participated stayed and watched as we made a little PRC history...again.  I applaud Zhi on his tournament and hope to see another one in the very near future.  Seems like there are quite a few people talking about a rematch!

TENNIS SOCIAL FRIDAY'S
AT 6:00 PM

Are you ready for some Friday night Social Tennis?  First 20 players get the court time so come early.  Lots of doubles play with several partner changes in between.  Clearwater Cafe is open for beverages and food if you come early enough to eat before you play.  The first set begins at 6:00 PM SHARP!
This will be an every week event so if you would like to visit us one of these Friday evenings, just call ahead and see if there is a spot available.  Pre-signup is suggested, but not required.  Call the Pro Desk.  778-0708

 are coming to Prescott Racquet Club for a one night show.  Known throughout Prescott, they have headlined in several clubs around the area and we are very proud to have them come and entertain on April 20th.  I know you don't want to miss this one.  A great evening of entertainment for everyone to enjoy.

CLUB CONDITIONS

The Swimming Pool is 82 degrees and ready for water sports!

Jacuzzi jets have been repaired and are in good working order.  Steam Room and Sauna:  In working order.  Temps good to excellent.

Fitness Room:  All is in working order.  TV at all treadmill stations.

Racquet Ball Courts:  All is good.  Court A door lock has been repaired.

Tennis Courts:  Courts are in good playing condition with no ice of snow left over from the storm. 

Repairs have begun on courts 3 and 4 with some crack filling and cleanup.  Repairs will continue throughout the month with top coats expected to be installed by the end of April. 

The screen between 1 and 2 is still under consideration.
